Week 9

I forgot to post my week 8 predictions, it was kind of a busy week.  Well I say lets right down to business for week 9.

I haven’t done this in awhile, but lets look at some of my fantasy studs and duds for this week.

Start ‘em

Kyle Orton- If you drafted him this year, hats off to you.  I’m like the other 90 percent of people who picked him up on the waiver wire, but very happy still.  Orton plays the Lions defense which allows the most points in the entire league.  When you have a gunslinger (yeah i know its weird to call Orton a gunslinger) like Orton verses a crappy pass defense, good things will happen for you.  Orton goes off on sunday, 300 yards passing, 3 TD, INT.

Earnest Graham- I like him this week, he has a favorable match up and is running well this year.  You could see Dunn steal some carries in this game, but Graham will carry the workload.  KC can’t seem to stop the rush this year and they are going to get a heavy dose of Graham this week.  90 yards rushing, 1 TD, 30 yards receiving.

Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal- For the first time all season, the Dolphins were able to stop the pass against the Bills.  They aren’t going to be so lucky this week.  I think both these guys are going to have big days against the lackluster Miami secondary.  As much as I love the Dolphins, these two are going to tear them apart.  Marshall will have 120 yards and a TD, Royal will have 75 yards and a TD.

Heath Miller- This one is kind of a gamble, but he is due for a big game.  Big Ben has so much time in the pocket thanks to his very protective offensive line (anyone detect sarcasm?).  I see him checking the ball down to miller on quick slant routes to try and open up the deep pass.  Miller needs to be more involved in the is offense, he is too good of an asset to go wasted.  65 yards receiving and a TD.

Eagles Defense- With Hasselbeck still hurt, the Seahawks turn to Seneca Wallace…he is also a wide receiver.  He connected on two TD passes last week, but that was against the 49ers defense.  The Eagles are much tougher and aren’t going to make mistakes.  Eagles will allow 6 points, and have 3INTs and 1 fumble recovery.

Sit ‘em

Steve Slaton and Ahman Green- These guys have to run against the Williams wall this week, and thats no fun.  Minnesota will put a stop to this dynamic duo and force them to beat them through the air.  They will combine for 70 yards this week.

Aaron Rodgers- He has a tough match up this week traveling to Tennessee to face the Titans and their amazing defense.  I don’t see big things from this week due to the fact that the pass rush and secondary of the Titans is phenomenal.  200 yards, 1TD, and 2 INTs.

Donnie Avery- This guy needs to have a bad game sometime, so why not against the Cardinals.  The Cardinals seem like a well put together football team this year and have corrected many of their mistakes from previous seasons.  How long can the Rams stay like this is the questions, one slip up and they are back to their old ways.  Avery will have 60 yards receiving.

Kellen Winslow- Even though he is on my fantasy team, I don’t see anything good coming from him this week.  He has been a bust all season and I don’t expect things to change.  35 yards receiving.

Giants Defense- I don’t know, I just have a gut feeling that Brad Johnson finds his feet this week and starts to put points on the board.  They are going to allow 27 ponts and have 2 sacks.

Sleeper of the week

Ted Ginn Jr.- I’m not sure this is considered a sleeper after his huge week against the bills, but I see Ginn doing the same thing again against the Broncos.  Gin will have over 100 yards receiving and a TD.
